is it just me… or does everyone on a single lane highways drive at LEAST 10 mph below the speed limit… until a passing zone (or a passing lane opens up), at which point they speed up to at least 5 mph ABOVE the speed limit?

i swear, for a while i thought i was just over reacting … but i’ve since decided to be more attentive to the phenomenon. it’s pretty amazing. i’ve noticed it, not with just crappy old cars, but with some nice sporty cars as well… and some modern cars that no doubt have cruise control.

now, i’ve got to start keeping track of the drivers. do they fall into any specific age range? are they mostly of any single gender?
